Parents/Caretakers

We know that it is parents/caretakers who have the most influence on their child's development and education. Therefore, in order for children to obtain the maximum advantage from our program, we encourage parents/caretakers to share their opinions and skills to help make our programs successful. Parents/Caretakers are encouraged to become active participants in the program through our parent education programs, classroom participation and involvement on the classroom and agency advisory committees.
Parents and caretakers with children receiving Kidango’s services are encouraged to join Kidango’s agency-wide advisory committee of parents/caretakers and families, Kidango Family Action Committee (KFAC). The purpose of KFAC is to support the philosophy and mission of Kidango while helping us evaluate our services, make recommendations and participate in solutions that will allow Kidango to reach our goals. This committee of parents/caretakers meets at least four times a year and makes recommendations regarding the operation of our programs to Kidango staff, our Executive Director, and our Board of Directors. Together, with the support of the KFAC advisory committee, we reinforce our program for all the children and families of Kidango. KFAC is open to all parents and caretakers with children enrolled in Kidango programs.
